Indian Raga – On His Last Journey…

With a heavy heart, I am writing about my father, Indian Raga.
Indian Raga left all of us on 30th September 2012, to find a place for himself in heaven, which he surely will.

As I believe, you all respect him a lot, let us all pray for him.

And for any music related help that any of you need, please send an email to indianraga@gmail.com, I will try to respond as early as I can.

Thank you for all the affection and support that you gave to Indian Raga in his difficult times.
Indian Raga will always be with us through his precious collection of music.

Regards,

Indian Raga & Family

We all go one day but our actions and ‘padachinh’ we leave behind is what matters. In this case it is our Immortal Music with which we ALL INDIANS CONNECT.This connection of singer, listener and the lovers of ‘such divine music’ all connect to the Divine.
We will always be beholden to your father for such a great treasure.
The soul never rests till it becomes ONE WITH THE PARAMAATMAN according to our SANATANA Dharma. Thus the atma is always in ‘gati’.
Thus our PRAARTHANAA is there for ONE &ALL for SUGATI.
    OM!

Once something good starts… we presume it to be eternal.
But all good ( or bad) things must come to an end.
    This is the reality.
    Let us face it.
Indian raga will always remain in our hearts.

A great loss! But all that is born, becomes beautiful or ugly, will some day depart this planet. But indianragas’ contribution will live longer. May the departed soul rest in peace and give enough strength to overcome the loss to the successor and add value to the contributions to indianraga! sundersingh_bg@hotmail.com Bangalore (formerly from New Delhi, DSIR)

I visited your blog only today while searching for some vintage music of young singing legend, Master Madan. While I did not find what I’d come looking for, what I discovered amply compensated for that. You truly have a wonderful treasure for all of us music lovers to savor. While surfing through these pages, I came here and sadly learn’t about the demise of your father who has so painstakingly collected so much of lost treasure. Even though belated, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your personal loss. Your father has shown to us mortals how even an ordinary person through his own right and humble contribution can become a torch bearer for humanity. People like your father are unsung heroes of our times. My humble tributes to him.
