dear sir,
i am bb singh from coimbatore. i recently purchased an acer laptop with came with a Linpus operating system, my all attempts to install XP or Vista have failed till now. so i need help.
Dear Guptaji,
I stumbled onto your blog while trying to read about Begum Akhtar. I am a Mumbai based journalist interested in classical music. I know I am late, but I am currently in the process of discovering the genius of Begum Akhtar. Though Ae Mohabbat Tere Anjam Pe is perhaps more popular of her ghazals, but what floored me completely were Kuch Toh Duniya Ki Inaayat Ne Dil Td Diya, and Sar Mein Sauda Bhi Nahi included in the CD Best of Begum Akhtar.
Could you suggest me more resources to read and know Begum’s music and her personality? Also do you have any information about when and in what circumstances Kuch Toh Duniya Ki was recorded? Has she sung this live often?
would be grateful for any info you could give. thanks
satish
Although I do have a decent collection of Ghazals by various artists, but normally I don’t post them on this blog, mainly to preserve the pure classical nature of the blog. However there is lot of info available on the web regarding Begum Akhtar. To start with you may visit :
thanks much for yr efforts. really appreciate it. I was wondering, if you can send me links for various bhupali renditions you have found. If there is one vilambit by Rashid Khan, that will be awesome.
Good day, I’m looking for Indian classical bandishes in Raag Bhairav? does anyone where I may get something. I loved listening to Bade Gulaham Ali ji and Rajan and Sajan Mishra.
Hope your health is better now! Have seen your blog a number of times but never left a comment. Just want to say that you have given us so much in music enriching our lives beyond imagination!

@ Ghazala
Sorry I can’t do this due to bandwidth limitations. You may download the file from eSnips and listen to it on another system or a mp3 player.

@bb singh
Please contact the vendor for support. A lot depends upon the motherboard of any system.
